INDIA CREATES HISTORY - WINS 01 SILVER AND 01 BRONZE MEDAL IN BLIND JUDO IN 4th ASIAN PARA GAMES.

In the ongoing 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, visually impaired judokas performed brilliantly and won 01 silver and 01 bronze medals. 
On behalf of India's visually impaired judo team, Kapil Parmar won India's First Silver Medal in the 4th Asian Para Games in the – 60 kg weight category and Kokila won the First Bronze Medal in the  – 48 kg weight category. 

 
Kapil defeated Thailand in his first bout and entered the finals by defeating Yemen in the semi-finals and won the silver medal after losing to Iran in the finals. Kokila defeated China in its first bout, lost to Kazakhstan in the semi-finals and won the bronze medal by defeating Taipei for the third place. 

In addition to the above, Janaki  Bai (– 48 kg weight category) secured Fifth Position. The total participation in Judo was 144 players from 17 nations. Let it be known that even before this, Kapil has made India proud by participating in many international judo competitions and winning 05 gold, 01 silver and 03 bronze medals. Kokila has also made India proud by participating in many international judo competitions and winning 01 gold, 02 silver and 03 bronze medals.
